Held at the superb Broadway Casino in the center of Birmingham, players were in for a treat. Friday night WassOnline members celebrated two birthdays with cake and a £20 buy in of the birthday girl's choice. Omaha Hi/Lo was the game and players had a blast teaching the dealer how to play it. Players not up for the Omaha game joined the casino's regular Friday night No Limit Holdem rebuy.

On Saturday night players were delighted to receive a deck of WassPoker cards as they took their seats for the main event. The main event was No Limit Holdem with a £50+5 buyin. Players were also able to satellite into the main event online at WassPoker.com for as little as £1.10! With a generous stack of 5000 chips, players settled down to some quality poker. About thirty minutes in the first player of the evening went out on an unlucky turn card , his pocket rockets cracked by trip queens. Several hours later and after a tasty buffet it was down to the final table. Sue Amess, Craig Garrot, Anna-Maria Mdskye, Andrew Murray, Patricia Northall, Julie Prosser, Xanthe Robertson, Dave "Doc" Sharpe, and Kyle Waring outlasted the rest of the entrants for their chance at the first WUKPT trophy.

last table

One by one and in one memorable hand two, players were knocked of the final table until only Andrew Murray, Patricia Northall, and Julie Prosser remained. WassOnline members and casino regulars gathered around to cheer on their favourite and admire the WUKPT trophies on display. In the wee hours of the morning Patricia Northall won the final all in to bring home the 1st place trophy and the 1st place cash! One of the best aspects of the Wass Live events is even with a higher buyin they still retain their friendly atmosphere and all of the players expressed their eagerness for the next Wass Live event on September 26th in Reading. Hope to see you there!
